Sykepleien is published by the Norwegian Nurses' Association and is an editorially independent professional journal that puts nurses' interests on the agenda. Ramsalt created the website together with Netlife, which was responsible for the design. Sykepleien publishes news, its own research projects, an overview of relevant events and a literature database for the field. 

Technology, Integration and Development

• Drupal 7 in the process of upgrading to Drupal 8 at the time of writing. 
• Integration with an external newsletter service.
• Integration with an external production system.
• Integration with Fotoweb (Fotoware) Digital Asset Management system.
• Automatic PDF generation and export to third-party providers.
• Generation of DOI numbers and export of articles to Crossref (scientific database). Custom functionality to check and fix invalid DOI references.
• Implementation of responsive design.
