Sykepleien is Norway's leading professional journal for nurses. Their editorial team actively monitors news from across the Norwegian healthcare sector – from university hospitals and regional health authorities to specialist institutions. Keeping track of nearly 30 different websites required daily manual review. Time-consuming, error-prone, and leaving the newsroom unable to spot developments early.
Sykepleien approached Ramsalt with a clear brief: automate the monitoring, structure the output, and deliver immediate editorial value.
The Solution
A bespoke AI-powered news dashboard
Ramsalt developed the Sykepleien News Aggregator, combining modern web technology with AI-based content extraction. The tool automatically crawls as of writing up to 28 different configured healthcare sources, fetches their HTML content, and uses AI to identify and structure articles with title, date, summary and source link.
Built on Cloudflare Workers for low latency and minimal infrastructure costs. Firecrawl AI API handles sites that resist traditional crawling, with a quota system tracking usage at all times.
