Background
The Catholic Church is a supranational church denomination with the Pope as its head. The Catholic Church in Norway administers all church districts and congregations in Norway, and wanted to restructure and redesign its digital platform. The background to this was a user survey conducted by the Oslo Catholic Diocese, (see Bishop Bernt: – The Church has always been a communications pioneer(link is external)).
Katolsk.no has opened us up to the world out there – and vice versa. For over 25 years, we have had independent news coverage, which has maintained a very high level. In recent years, outdated technology has created more and more limitations for our ambitions, so I am glad that there is now a shift to the more modern.

Book Component is a tool that allows Catholics to create digital versions of important books, complete with a table of contents for easy navigation and the ability to add chapters. This feature gives users an e-book-like experience. In addition, the Catechism book includes an advanced search function, allowing users to easily find specific passages or search for any keyword.

A site designed to help Catholics fulfill their spiritual needs through daily religious practice. Here you will find various suggestions to enrich your daily routine, including the text of the daily Mass, a daily memorial of a saint, monthly prayer invitations from the Pope, and an excerpt from the daily catechism.
